SEE CAPE TOWN FROM A DIFFERENT POINT OF VIEW AT OUR PARTNER HOTELS

We Are Africa is proud to partner with some of Cape Town’s most exceptional hotels, all of which embrace and celebrate the vibrant diversity, unexplored mystery and heart-warming magic of this captivating continent. As the tribe packs their bags and prepares to call one of these incredible places ‘home’ for the week, we decided to find out a little more about the unique experiences each one offers…

AFRICAN PRIDE 15 ON ORANGE HOTEL

In one word?Contemporary.”

Offering unparalleled style and exceptional views of the city and Table Mountain, African Pride 15 On Orange is based in Gardens, only a short distance from the city centre, and allows easy access to Cape Town’s world-famous landmarks. From the moment you step into the stunning lobby, you’ll be thrilled with its classy, contemporary style – and this grandeur extends to the modern, immaculately appointed guest rooms and suites.

BELMOND MOUNT NELSON HOTEL

In one word? “Iconic.”

Guests at Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel have the opportunity to visit one of South Africa’s most successful and entrepreneurial township farms, from where the hotel sources much of its vegetable produce: Abalimi Bezekhaya’s organic vegetable garden, called Moya we Khaya (spirit of home), in Khayelitsha. Beginning with a guided tour where they can learn about township life, guests will then meet the inspiration Mama Kaba and hear how she turned a small neglected piece of municipal land into one of the most successful gardening and farming initiatives in the country, tranforming lives in the process. Back at Belmond, sample some of Mama Kaba’s produce in the specially named Abalimi Bezekhaya Beetroot and Kale salad.

ONE&ONLY CAPE TOWN

In one word? “Laid back.” (That’s two, but we’ll let them off.)

Join a One&Only Cape Town tailor-made Instawalk, led by the travel specialists at Escape&Explore, along with travel journalists and local Instagram stars Seth Shezi and Dawn Jorgensen. Together, they’ve developed a little black book of the most interesting, Instagramable hotspots in the city and are only too pleased to share their carefully curated finds with guests looking for an up-close and personal view of the Mother City.

TAJ CAPE TOWN

In one word? “Tajness.” (Made-up words count, right?)

THE TABLE BAY HOTEL

In one word? “Authentic.”

Since its inception, The Table Bay has remained unwaveringly true to its roots as a proudly South African hotel. The hotel prioritise the use of locally sourced produce and products – from the fresh, seasonal delights on the menu, to the locally produced bathroom amenities. Going one step further, they’ve celebrated local wine culture by introducing their own signature bottle, in collaboration with the respected Graham Beck estate; plus they’re even in the process of creating their very own craft beer with Darling Brewery. If alcohol’s not your thing, you’ll be pleased to know that their recently launched, exclusive fragrance, KAAP, blends 100% botanicals from the Cape – so you can still take your experience home with you.

In one word? “Escape.”

Surrounded by nature, with the Twelve Apostles mountain range in its back garden and the Atlantic Ocean as its outlook, the multi award-winning Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa offers visitors a host of ‘one-of-a-kind’ experiences. Conveniently close enough to the city for those wanting a spot of retail therapy or cultural engagement, but far enough away from the madding crowd to make your visit seem like a retreat, the hotel’s ‘Astonomy Gastronomy’ evenings are a favourite with guests: combining culinary excellence with a stargazing experience alongside an astronomer, it makes for a very special experience.
