WE ARE AFRICA SPARK TALK TERMS AND CONDITIONS
FUSE is We Are Africa’s un-conference; a creative forum focused on collaboration and the exchange of ideas with the power to shape the future of African travel. One of the main elements of the day will be SPARK, an opportunity for the most innovative members of our community to get on stage for 3 minutes and 45 seconds to impress with their big idea that’s sure to impact the future of African travel and hospitality.
The most interesting ideas will be selected in advance. To enter your SPARK for consideration, please observe the following guidelines and then complete the form on the website:
- Your entry must show us how your SPARK highlights an idea that can impact the future of African travel and/or hospitality. This means we want to see groundbreaking ideas that people could take or have taken to shape African travel, whether it’s in the realm of conservation, community, adventure travel, design, technology, marketing or beyond!
- You must be available and prepared to speak at FUSE on Monday 13 May 2019.
- You must enter by the closing deadline of 17 April 2019. Applications after this date will not be considered.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
- All entries must be submitted via the official application form by 23:55 GMT on 17 April 2019. If you experience any difficulty with the form, please contact chandre@weareafricatravel.com
- The chosen SPARK speakers will be notified by 19 April 2019.
- If shortlisted, applicants will be contacted in a follow-up call to assess their idea and speaking competence.
- Applications will not be shown publicly and are for the internal use of We Are Africa and its employees only.
- If selected, you must be available to attend FUSE at We Are Africa in Cape Town, South Africa, on 13 May 2019.
- SPARK is open to everyone; however, if you are chosen and decide to accept our invitation, you may be required to purchase a day pass to FUSE if you are not a registered delegate for We Are Africa 2019.
- Entries will be judged SOLELY on the quality of your application. We expect the standard of entries to be very competitive, so please consider carefully how to make your application stand out.
