The tribe has consistently championed a community built on purpose,  one that fosters a progressive, generous space where travel becomes a true force for good.

With a deep commitment to showing the power of humanity in good business, the tribe continues to create meaningful bridges between tourism and local communities. At the heart of this is our longstanding partnership with Uthando South Africa, a collaboration made possible through the ongoing generosity of the tribe.

Thanks to the incredible donation of more than R500, 000 Vanguard Primary School now holds a piece of the tribe’s spirit, a  powerful symbol of possibility in Cape Town, where it’s most needed.

 

We Are Africa sponsored the build of the official We Are Africa Pitch for Peace as part of Uthando’s inspiring Waste to Wonder campaign. This innovative initiative transforms discarded tyres into vibrant soccer pitches, creating safe, uplifting spaces where children can play, connect, and thrive. Beyond the pitch itself, the project empowers local unemployed individuals through training in sustainable construction, leaving a legacy that extends far beyond the field.

This project forms just one part of the extraordinary work led by Uthando, spanning food security, early childhood development, healthcare, social services, arts and culture, and more all directly supporting and uplifting local communities.
