At We Are Africa, extraordinary journeys extend far beyond the meetings, celebrations and connections that bring our tribe together each May. They continue in the communities, classrooms and initiatives that are shaping a brighter future across Cape Town.
Through the generosity of the We Are Africa tribe, we are proud to continue our long-standing partnership with Uthando (LOVE), an organisation that connects visitors with inspiring community-led projects creating meaningful change on the ground. For more than a decade, the We Are Africa community has embraced the belief that meaningful travel should benefit both visitors and the places they encounter.
Following We Are Africa 2026, a total of R493,500 has been raised for Uthando’s social development initiatives. This contribution will help support a variety of vital initiatives including Pitches for Peace: a project that uses sport as a powerful tool to foster opportunity, leadership and positive social impact among young people in local communities.

The support of the tribe demonstrates what can happen when purpose and partnership come together. While We Are Africa exists to connect the continent’s leading high-end travel brands with the world’s most influential buyers, it also serves as a reminder that our industry has the ability to create lasting impact beyond tourism itself.
